  1. 1. I do like the way you can see the grass background both around and through the paperweight. You also did a good job making sure the focus was on the paperweight and not the background grass. The only criticism is that the photo is very "centered." The paperweight is right in the middle with equal amounts of grass around it. Technically it is great, but not quite as appealing to the eye as say...
    2. ...this one. I think this one is a much better use of both crop and background through the paperweight. To me, this is more of a picture I would like to look at more than once.
    3. Again, technically this picture is great. It is in focus and the lighting is good. I do really like the light flare set off by the glass. The "centeredness" of this photo just makes it OK when maybe some negative space would have set it off and made it great.
    4. Where is the focus? I love the angle and how close you are, but the focus is way back by the end of the tail. Even though I should look directly at the eye first, I am automatically drawn to the focal point which is way back on the tail! I think it is a very cute subject matter and would look very good at this exact same angle and everything if the focus was just on the eye.
    5. Technically, this is another good photo. I do like that you got rid of a lot of the background. I like that the crop cuts a little off but not in a way where I wonder where it went. Dogs are hard to get a good light in and around the eyes, but I think you did a good job here using your environment to get good light in the eyes.
