This is going to be where we can all post our images for the assignments. This way, the assignment images won't get mixed up and shuffled around within my main blog!
1. I like the crop and composition of this photo. Even though the entire frame is taken up by only 2 items, it does not feel boring, especially with the words on the page. Also, with white book pages it is not easy to make sure that everything is exposed correctly, but it looks great here.
2. While I understand the composition, I would have liked to either see the label on at least one of the bottles or maybe the actual vitamins inside. I can associate based on the title of the book to know that they are vitamin bottles, but the bottle placement is somewhat stagnant and there is not much going on with them. Even one laying down while the others are standing would have helped. Also, generally in a photo, an odd number of items is easiest to work with and compose well, just as something to keep in mind. Overall, I like the subject-matter and the concept, the composition could just use a little work.
3. I like the juxtaposition of the bright yellow with the blue. I can also tell that the subject matter all works together and compliment eachother. If the wheat bundle and corn were maybe turned in two different directions, as opposed to facing the same way, it may have lead the eye around the photo more, but overall I like it.
#3. I'm thinking this Dad likes to be outdoors (and or spent a lot of time outdoors) and either was or still is a farmer (or lives on acreage and the crops are a memory?). Regardless I know that much about him instantly by looking at the picture!
